Mary Payton
Science Program Director

  • Before joining the organization, Mary taught Pre-AP® chemistry, on-level chemistry, AP® Chemistry and Biotechnology.
  • During her last year at Carroll HS, she had 22 students in AP chemistry with 95% passing and 59% 5's.
  • She is the editor of the LTF science guides and diagnostic tests
  • She was a College Board chemistry consultant.
  • Mary participated in the UT Southwestern STARS teachers program and conducted research in the department of Ophthalmology.
  • She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics.
