Lori Edwards
Mathematics Coordinator
- Lori Edwards began her teaching career in 1985 after a career in the corporate world. She has taught everything from FOM through Calculus and AP® Statistics. She began AP® Statistics at her high school in 2004. The enrollment increased from 11 the first year to over 40 enrolled for the fourth year.
- During her 22 years in education, Lori was secondary teacher of the year for Crosby ISD, department chair, vertical team leader, mentor leader, and lead teacher.
- Besides being UIL mathematics coach, she was also a UIL coordinator and organized several district meets at her high school.
- As a College Board certified Pre-AP® mathematics consultant she has conducted several 2-day and week long institutes in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas. She was recently nationally endorsed to present lessons in other states outside the Southwest Region.
- Lori earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Monmouth College, Long Branch, New Jersey. Her post graduate work in education and mathematics was done at University of Houston, Clear Lake City, Texas. She is certified in mathematics and economics.
