Doris Rutherford
English Program Director

  • Doris taught in Arkansas public schools for 34 years before coming joining the organization. She taught Pre-AP English and AP English Literature classes for over 20 years.
  • She has served as Lead Teacher for English at College Board summer institutes in Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas and has presented at numerous one- and two-day conferences in the Southwest Region.
  • In 1999 she received an Advanced Placement Special Recognition Award from the Southwest Region of the College Board.
  • She has served as a reader for the AP English Literature and Composition Exam since 2000.
