Laying the Foundation
Teachers' Guides for Pre-AP* Science
Created in 2004 by master AP* teachers, the guides are designed to teach students the skills they need in grades 6-10 in order to pass AP Science exams in grades 11 and 12.
Each guide is designed to help the teacher differentiate the science curriculum and focus on the analytical skills, concepts, and assessment strategies that will help students be successful in AP science classes and other advanced coursework. In addition, the guides are aligned to the TEKS to increase TAKS scores.
Districts across Texas will be using the guides as the basic tools for their Science Vertical Teams.
